BackgroundAcetabular retroversion results in reduced range of motion, and is thought to contribute femoroacetabular impingement. Severe can be corrected with a periacetabular osteotomy, which technically demanding intervention. In this study, we investigated whether increasing femoral antetorsion potential alternative restore the motion how approach would affect hip joint loading.MethodsSix different finite element models same subject were built from MRI used simulate load scenarios during stance phase, including healthy pathological configurations acetabular version torsion angles.
